The American Academy of Ophthalmology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

FACULTY

Sue Vicchrilli, COT, OCS Sue's 28 year ophthalmic background includes all aspects of coding, reimbursement, practice management, clinic and surgical assistance. Sue is the Academy's coding executive, the author of EyeNet's “Savvy Coder”, AAOE's Coding Bulletin, the Ophthalmic Coding Coach, Code This Case and the Ophthalmic Coding Module Series.

Kim Ross, OCS, CPC is the Academy's coding specialist, the contributing author of the Ophthalmic Coding Coach and the Ophthalmic Coding Module Series. Kim’s 34 year ophthalmic background includes all aspects of clinic and surgical assistance, ophthalmic photography, practice management, coding, reimbursement and compliance.

Koryn Rubin is Manager of Health Policy in the AAO’s Washington, DC office. She manages all activities dealing with physician accountability and quality, such as PQRI, EHR and E-Prescribing. She is the Academy’s liaison for third-party payer issues and advocates on behalf of the Academy to CMS and other Federal regulatory agencies. Koryn maintains proactive relationships with the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, and other medical advocacy groups.
